Strikers Join Race For Top Spot

Strikers Thomas Dunn and Sairusi Nalaubu have joined the race for the top spot of the SUNsports Best and Fairest Player.
Dunn featured for Navua in their 2-2 draw against Nadi and is in second place with eight points while Nalaubau have moved into third place with six.
Rewa striker Setareki Hughes has extended his lead after they beat Ba 2-0.
Rewa 2-0 Ba
3 points: Setareki Hughes (Rewa)- Exploited loopholes in the Ba defence. Controlled play well and a good distributor
2 points: Tevita Waranaivalu (Rewa)- A tireless player, good footwork and tons of speed as he kept the Ba defence working overtime. He scored the second goal.
1 point: Anish Khem (Rewa)- Combined well with Hughes and Waranaivalu.

Lautoka 2-0 Nadroga
3: Sairusi Nalaubu (Lautoka)-The most consistent striker in the country. Scored Lautoka’s winner in the 75th minute.
2- Edward Justin (Lautoka)- Always gives his best and never gives up.
1- Paula Buke (Nadroga)- A player who improved a lot. Showed a lot of maturity in his game and very disciplined.

Navua 2-2 Nadi
3: Thomas Dunn (Navua)- Keep an eye on him. This classy Navua youngster is a very capable player and is now making his mark in the DPL.
2: Napolioni Qasevakatini (Nadi)- The veteran striker leads his team by example and is always there when most needed.
1: Vereti Dickson (Nadi)- Pulled off superb saves to ensure they return home with a point.

Suva 0-1 Labasa
3: Akeimi Ralulu (Labasa)- Ralulu is the country’s best centreback.
He is tough in defence, always dominating the aerial battles and has a wicked left footer that scored their lone goal.
2: Ashnil Raju (Labasa)- Lots of speed and easily beats the Suva defence, time and again, with his dribbling skills
1: Merrill Nand (Suva)- Came as a substitute and almost scored Suva’s equaliser.
He gave the Labasa defenders a few anxious moments. Nand needs to be given more game time.
