Members of the Christian Mission Fellowship International in Macuata will be listening to the church sermons from the comfort of their homes.

Reverend Viliame Gauna said it would be hard for them but, “That is the only way we will reach out to our members during these difficult times.”

“For us in the spiritual sense – COVID-19 is an indication that the world is getting darker and has brought awakening to the believers, to wake us up, stand up and rise up,” Reverend Gauna said.

“We will reach out to our members through pre-recorded live stream programmes of sermons and Bible teachings on a weekly basis.

“This allows our members to adhere to the instruction by the leader of our nation by staying home following the COVID-19 safety measures.

“This has encouraged us to fight by staying home and praying for those that are affected with COVID-19.

“We can win the battle as long as we work together as a team.

“Our 22 churches will be airing these pre-recorded sercoms in their sound system in their communities while they listen from the comfort of their homes.

“COVID is not travelling around, it is the people that are moving around. So stay home, protect yourself and pray for our friends and the nation,” he said.
