Tabuya Should Apologise To The Right People: Duru

Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) General Secretary Lenaitasi Duru is calling on Lynda Tabuya to apologise to the right people.
This was after the Party established a Facebook post by SODELPA MP Simione Rasova stating that Ms Tabuya had apologised to SODELPA MP Ro Teimumu Kepa over a meeting on Monday.
In his post Mr Rasova said: “Finally after the so-called personal justification against the party Executives, the Marama Bale Na Roko Tui Dreketi has her say over the allegations and has strengthened the issues with Honourable Lynda Tabuya hence her personal apologies against her grievances now accepted never to be publicly repeated.”
Mr Duru said the party did not recognise the apologies made by Ms Tabuya to Ro Teimumu Kepa.
“If she was bold enough to go to the media, then she needs to be bold enough to go to the party leader and president and apologise to them,” he said.
“The outburst was not between the two, it was between the party leader and the president.
Ms Tabuya said: “The apology made to Marama Bale Na Roko Tui Dreketi was between me and her because she had confronted me during our meeting,” she said.
“I have not received any formal notification from the party on the disciplinary proceedings against me but I expect an attempt to remove me as whip again by the party and to discipline me at the next management board meeting on May 8.”
Expression of Interest
SODELPA is calling on Fijians who are interested to join them in the 2022 General Election to apply.
“Anyone that shares the same views and belief and are interested to be candidates for the 2022 General Elections can apply,” Mr Duru said.
“There are people who stood for us in the 2014 General Elections but did not get into parliament. They can apply again.
“Those who are interested can send their expression of interest to sodelpageneralsecretary@gmail.com together with your resume or CV.”
“The due date for those interested is June 4.”
Those that are representing SODELPA in parliament will also need to reapply.
