Aussie Donates $55 Million For COVID-19 Management

The Fijian Government yesterday received an additional general budget support package of $55 million from the Australian Government for their continued management of the impacts of COVID-19.
Minister for Economy and Attorney-General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, and Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, John Feakes, signed the agreement in Suva under strict supervision of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services officials.
“The impacts of COVID-19 have taken a toll on both of our countries, our economies and our livelihoods and we are pleased to be supporting the Fijian Government as they continue their commendable efforts to manage the current COVID-19 outbreak alongside the MHMS team,” Mr Feakes said.
