The Lion Heart team who played during the Malomalo 7s in Lawaqa Park on April 16-17 and shared a hostel case 98 should call 158 right away.

This was the call by Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Health and Medical Services during his COVID-19 nationwide address update.

“If you play for this team, or know someone who plays for this team, please call 158 right now.”

Moturiki lockdown lifted

Dr Fong said Moturiki Island lockdown has been lifted after the 14-day quarantine period.

“Three individuals on the island, from Naicabecabe Village, had attended the Tavakubu funeral and spent time with case 74, the staff from the quarantine facility,” he said.

“They have all returned four consecutive negative test results for COVID-19.

“However, as is the case with all of our rural and maritime communities, we encourage families on Moturiki to stay where they are, stay at home, and limit their movement as much as possible.”
