COVID-19: Two Men Arrested After Swimming Across A Creek From Omkar To Narere To Nakasi

Alcohol and drinking kava continues to be linked to breach of Health Restrictions and Curfew Orders as six of the eight cases recorded over the last 24-hours were found drunk.

Three people were arrested in the Southern Division whereby all were found drunk at Suva Point and have breached the Health restrictions.

The Eastern Division recorded two cases including a 25-year-old taxi driver and a 32-year-old man who were arrested after swimming across a creek from Omkar in Narere to Nakasi.

Both have breached the Health restrictions in place.

Three men in their 20’s were found drinking kava in the Western Division.
