$90 Cash Help To Roll Out Tomorrow

Fijians living in the containment zones who have not received any form of unemployment benefit will be given $90 by the Government.
This was announced by Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum last night.
The funds will be disbursed through Vodafone’s M-Paisa platform and Digicel’s MyCash platform and no fees will be charged by the two network providers for the withdrawal of these funds.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said the amount was decided after the Government’s food ration pack which was distributed along the Suva-Nausori lockdown zone amounted to $43.50.
To ensure parity, money to purchase a similar quantity of rations twice will be provided to those in the Western Division first followed by those in the other containment zones.
The payout will begin tomorrow.
