Village Barber Business Brings Notu Purpose During Pandemic

Timoci Notu has found a job that works for him during this pandemic. Originally from Saunaka Village in Nadi, this father of four children started his barber business to help support his family.

“I almost felt stuck with all the jobs I had been doing and was searching for a career I would enjoy, but also feel more productive at,” he said.

“Ever since growing up, I’ve loved cutting people’s hair. The pandemic has opened up a door for me to utilise the skills that I have,” Mr Notu said.

He said despite the lockdown of the village, his business was not affected because the majority of his customers were the villagers.

“This pandemic has helped me to stand on my own two feet,” he said.
