Fijians who moved from a containment area to a non-containment area over the weekend are advised to call 158 and self-isolate immediately.

Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services Dr James Fong said these people had ignored restrictions and managed to move around Viti Levu.

While the ministry is trying to locate these people, Dr Fong said they will not punish them or move them back to where they came from.
Instead, they are required to self-isolate at home for 14 days.

He added requests for movement out of Viti Levu have been rejected.

Dr Fong said the ministry doesn’t have a timeline as to when restrictions on movement will lift and that people should plan to stay where they are in the foreseeable future.
