Ra Divers divemaster and Master Engineer and Class 6 Captain, Mosese Baleilbasa (Left) and The healthy marine life in the Bligh Water (Right).

Mosese (Mo) Baleilbasa is looking forward to being able to take overseas guests diving in the Bligh Water again.

He is the Divemaster and Master Engineer and Class 6 Captain at Ra Divers, Volivoli Beach Resort’s diving business arm.

Mo, as he is commonly known, has always been interested in the sea.

“When I was 16, I learnt to dive, first I completed my Open Water Diver certification and then shortly afterwards doing my Advanced Open Water Certification.

“In 2009, I completed some short courses with Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) and obtained my boat master licence. “

“I am really looking forward to being able to take our overseas guests diving in the Bligh Water again and showing them all the amazing creatures and beautiful coral reefs.

“I miss diving with them.”

He is married with one beautiful daughter who is four-years-old.

How many places have you visited in Fiji and what’s your favourite place to dive?

I have dived many places in Fiji including Yadua, Taveuni, Rainbow Reef, Savusavu, Gau, Makogai, Wakaya, Namena Marine Reserve. But by far my favourite is the Bligh Water as there is so much colour and marine life there.

What’s one place you’d take every visitor to Fiji and why?

I know I work here so I might be a bit biased however I would take any visitors to Volivoli Beach Resort.

The accommodation is beautiful, the food choices are great and we have lots of activities not just scuba diving and of course the Suncoast has amazing scenery.

What’s your secret backyard favourite spot?

When I am not at work I simply enjoy spending time with my family, it doesn’t matter where I am.

What’s one Fiji spot on the top of your bucket list?

I would like to visit the Sawa-i-Lau Caves in the Yasawas and do the shark feed dive in Beqa.
