Two Juveniles Arrested For Allegedly Throwing Stones At Police Officers

Two juveniles aged 16 and 17 years were arrested on Thursday night for allegedly throwing stones at two police officers while attending to a report at the Tamavua-I-Wai settlement.

They have been charged with One Count each of Criminal Intimidation, Fail to comply with the Orders, and resisting arrests.

Both will be appearing at a special court sitting today in Suva.

A call was received that few people were gathering in that area and while the two officers attended to the report, both suspects threw stones at them as well as damaging the police vehicle.

Parents and Guardians are advised to take a close watch on their children and do not leave them alone at night.

Members of the public are reminded that issues of officers being attacked or threatened during the execution of their duties will not be taken lightly.
