Likuri Island Resort remains open to take future bookings.

Although only operational with 50 per cent of its team, Seta Raiyawa said most of their weekends are all booked out and they may be forced to extend specials.

Mr Raiyawa is Likuri Island Group’s sales and marketing manager.

“We have had an influx in bookings and a positive response from the special packages we have been offering,” said Mr Raiyawa.

“Most of these bookings were from our last months and Mother’s Day Specials. Because of the current situation we will have to look at extending these bookings to when restrictions are lifted.”

Categories of packages

He said they have three main categories of packages: the day trip, weekender, and corporate packages.

  • The day trip is only $60 per person and $20 for children (4-12 years old). This includes boat transfer (return), lunch, access to resort facilities, water sports and activities.
  • The weekender specials are from $99 to $149 per night. This includes an intercontinental breakfast. If you plan on staying for two nights your rates will be given a 20 per cent discount and rates will include boat transfers return, all meals, accommodation, water sports and activities.
  • The corporate package is mainly ideal for team bonding for 10 people. This is a day package that involves an island survival challenge and transfers. The package is $70 per person.

The island now offers 23 bures that have been recently refurbished.

Mr Raiyawa said book now in advance to avoid disappointment.

“When you finally get here ask for the aqua bike and banana ride experience.”

He said since the start of the pandemic they had to let off 50 per cent of their team.

“Since the positive response from the locals, when restrictions are lifted, we will be able to rotate all our staff members. Each will be given a chance to work, so book now.”
