Fiji Airways, Fiji Link Extend Flight Cancellations

In compliance with the ongoing movement restrictions and passenger flight suspension directives in Fiji, Fiji Airways and Fiji Link have extended flight cancellations as follows:

  • All domestic Fiji Link passenger flights have been have been cancelled until 30 May 2021 (inclusive).
  • All international Fiji Airways passenger repatriation flights into and out of Fiji have been cancelled until 30 May 2021 (inclusive)
  • Dedicated freighter services will continue to ensure vital export and import supply chains for Fiji remain intact.

Except for freight services, all local and passenger flights were suspended on April 22, 2021.

In a statement, Fiji Airways has apologised to those who had booked with them.

“We sincerely apologise if your flight has been cancelled as a result of the restrictions now in place in Fiji. The cancellations are beyond the control of both airlines, and are in place in the interest of safety of customers, staff and the general public.

“The status of domestic and international repatriation flights beyond 30 May 2021 will be determined later in line with Fijian Government updates and directives, and announced in the media, on the Fiji Airways website and social media pages.

Your Bookings Are Safe

Fiji Airways has also assured that if your travel plans on Fiji Airways and Fiji Link have been impacted by the cancellations,  your bookings are safe.

“We will hold the amount you have paid for all unused flights in credit for future travel on our airline, and you may utilise this credit to travel anywhere on the Fiji Airways international or Fiji Link domestic network right up until 31 December 2022.”
