The unsolved alleged murder case of Jiya Jaanvi is not closed yet, says Police.
Today marks 10 months since the 14-year-old student of Labasa College was found dead at her home in Namara, Labasa.
It was alleged that on July 22 the Year Nine student was alone in the rented flat while her mother was at work when the incident happened.
The teenager was discovered with clothes soaked in blood at the door of the house by their landlord around 8pm.
Police spokesperson Savaira Tabua confirmed that the case was not closed.
“Work is continuing and currently we are waiting for swab test results,” Ms Tabua said.
