Rotuma on Geologist’s Bucketlist

At 71 years of age, Geoff Taylor still looks young.
The Savusavu businessman is a an internationally regarded exploration geologist majoring in marine and economic geology at Macquarie University in Australia.
He has a Masters on mineral deposits in Fiji from London University.
He says when he is in the bush: “I’m at one with the environment, living in a city sets you apart with little chance of understanding how nature and the landscape work together.”
He is married to Sherron Whippy and had four children born in Savusavu.
He has prospected in the remote areas all over Fiji, most of the Pacific Islands, New Zealand, South America, Mexico, Japan, Spain and Ireland.
