After being away from each other for three weeks, Ba brothers, Manesh and Ravinal Reddy reunited yesterday.

Ravinal, 33, was among the 400 plus patients and medical staff who were kept in isolation at the Lautoka Hospital when the hospital went on lockdown on May 5.

He was admitted at the hospital last month after suffering injuries he had sustained from a car accident in Tuvu.

It has been more than a month since he has been away from his family and being able to see his brother again after a long time was the happiest moment for him.

Mr Reddy said although he had missed his family, he was content that the treatment and service he received from the healthcare workers at the hospital was top-notch.

“I was taken care of well and I am thankful to the nurses and doctors who took care of other patients and me,” he said.

“I missed my family dearly, but they made us feel at home, thank you to all the hardworking healthcare workers.”

Manesh, an employee with the Lautoka City Council said after the hospital went on lockdown, he was worried about his brother especially after being involved in an accident.

“We are happy that he will be home with us now,” he said.
