PM: Our Frontliners Are Not Superspreaders

Our frontline workers are not super spreaders of COVID-19, says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.
Mr Bainimarama slammed the statement by Social Democratic Liberal Party Member of Parliament Adi Litia Qionibaravi. Adi Litia while asking a supplementary question in parliament on Wednesday asked how the Ministry of Health was ensuring the frontliners were strictly following protocols as it appeared that they had become superspreaders.
“I would like to tell her that frontline workers are not superspreaders of COVID-19,” Mr Bainimarama said.
“We must not waste the blood, the sweat and the tears shed by these selfless Fijians who are ensuring the safety of our beloved nation during this unprecedented crisis. To our frontline workers, please do not feel disheartened by people who do not appreciate the work that you do. Thank you for the brave and selfless work that you are doing. I salute you all. Thank you!”
“I thank all frontliners the Ministry of Health personnel, members of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Police, Navy and all of those that are working tirelessly to keep us safe,” he said.
“I salute all our frontline workers for their noble contributions in our fight to return the country into normalcy.”
“I urge on Fijians to support our frontliners by adhering to the advise given by the Ministry of Health.”
