After Seven Years Of Operating Colo-i-Suva Eco Resort, Couple To Retire
The dining area at Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Eco Resort is located on Princes Road, Colo-i-Suva.

Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Eco Resort is located on Princes Road, Colo-i-Suva opposite the Police Post and next to the Colo-i-Suva Forest Park and Forestry Department.

Set in unspoiled rainforest, teaming with birdlife, the resort has established a reputation for being a peaceful environment.

Popular with locals as a peaceful get-away and with international visitors – in particular bird-watchers, the resort is listed with all main on-line booking sites.

Princes Road is the scenic alternative route between Nausori Airport and Suva, twenty minutes from Nausori Airport and Suva City.

In March 2014, with the new owners Val Salama and Brian Riches Raintree Lodge began trading as Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Eco Resort (Val is English and Brian is Papua New Guinean)

The property is now For Sale by Tender – handled by Jokhan Realtors.

After seven years the owners wish to retire and spend time with their families in Papua New Guinea, Australia and UK.

The resort consists of seven self-contained bures (including two family bures), three studio apartments with ensuite, a Managers residence, and twelve budget rooms with shared facilities (communal bathrooms).

There is a swimming pool with bar, a fine dining restaurant and bar over-looking a lake, a small conference room holding a maximum of twenty five guests and a gazebo situated over a bridge at the end of the restaurant.

During the past seven years the owners have concentrated not only on staff training but on establishing an environment policy with minimal use of chemicals and plastics, tracking of carbon emissions and our food footprint – this can be reviewed on our website.

COVID of course has had an impact on business but the resort continues to operate with a reasonable occupancy, and bookings for the future are already promising.
