Beatrice Nast has had more than 30 years of experience in the tourism industry.

She is an entrepreneur who is now working on several projects she hopes to launch soon.

“Diversifying is the key right now, and with my entrepreneurial skills a new first one for Fiji company is about to launch with a new product for Fiji,” she said.

Ms Nast was also the former special administrator for Ba and Lautoka town councils.

She resigned early this year as she said she believed she had reached her goal in her bid to help the councils.

She is currently the re-elected president of Society of Fiji Travel Associates, looking after Fiji’s tour and transport operators on land, air, and sea.

The organisation is part of the Tourism Recovery Team.

What’s One Place You’d Take Every Visitor To In Fiji And Why?
To the Yasawa islands.

This is where I fell in love with the Fiji Islands about 30 years ago on a cruise and decided to make Fiji my home.

I never looked back.

The crystal-clear waters, the friendly bula smiles, the island vibes are what gives me inner peace.

What’s Your Secret Backyard Favourite?
The hidden gems you would find all over Fiji.

– Diving the rainbow reef between Vanua Levu and Taveuni with the dolphin divers,

– Dinner in a cave on Savasi Island, Savusavu,

– a Nama Spa Treatment on Tokoriki Island.

A handmade garment from the Beach Boutique and of course a quad bike ride into the beautiful mountains to visit villages and see the real Fiji.

My list could go on and on and there are so many favourites.

What’s Your Favourite Place In Fiji For A Pie/Coffee?
I love to cook, hence food is my passion so I always try to explore new and different places.

My regular stop right now is The Coffee Hub in Nadi with their new yummy bread corner.

Coffee Hub is located in the Essence Of Fiji building, next to Mobil service station, Nadi Back Road . The cafe and lounge is operated by the well known Barista “Zoro”. It has easy parking and amazing coffee.

What’s one Fiji spot on the top of your bucket list?
The Lau island group is definitely on my agenda.

I would like to urge all the people of Fiji to go and get their vaccinations done quickly so we all can live freely again, build up the economy and enjoy our country.

Stay safe, stay home, and get vaccinated now.
