Get Vaccinated So That We’re Protected : Lorraine Seeto
Mrs Seeto Hui and Lorraine Seeto received their second jab at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre in Nasese, Suva on June 21, 2021.

Get vaccinated, says Lorraine Seeto.

Consultant and former advisor to the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) Governors, and her mother, 89-years-old, Mrs Seeto Hui received their second AstraZeneca vaccination at the Suva’s Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre on Monday.

“My mother and I are in the high risk category and were very eager to receive our second jab at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre.

“My mother has been at home and this is her second time out of our yard after receiving her first jab in April.

“I have been staying at home and I only go out to buy food, medicine, ATM and for approved work.

“Otherwise, everything else is digital or virtual.”

Comfort
Ms Seeto says: “It is comforting to know that we are protected, but we are not safe until everyone is safe.

She also noted that they have taken the advice of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and acted accordingly.

“We hope that everyone will do the same so that we can all move forward to the new normal together.

“We understand that everyone has rights, but we must also be mindful that we are in this situation together. In fact, the whole world is.

“In getting the vaccine, we are protecting ourselves as well as those around us.

“So the sooner more of us are vaccinated, the sooner we will be safer and restrictions can be eased.”

Both ladies were very grateful for the excellent arrangements in place for the vaccination process and they also appreciated the processes made available to senior citizens.

“We felt very privileged that we were looked after in such a caring manner by the officials of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and other Government agencies that were there on Monday morning.”
