Radradra For Olympics

The Fiji Rugby Union has sorted the release of Semi Radradra from his club Bristol Bears.
This was confirmed to SUNsports yesterday Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor after they had acted on a request made by head coach Gareth Baber.
“Gareth had indicated if we could get Radradra’s release which we have done with the Bristol Bears,” O’Connor said.
“Radradra is going to fly across and join the Fijian 7s team in Tokyo for the Olympic Games.”
That means Baber is going to choose from 12 players, after this weekend’s PacificAust Sports Oceania Sevens competition at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, Australia.
The Fijian men’s 7s team will take 13 players to the Olympics.
O’Connor said France-based Filimoni Botitu and Aminiasi Tuimaba would be out of their Sydney quarantine on Friday.
”They will catch a flight to Townsville,
“If they arrive early they could play in the first day but it will depend on when they’ll arrive.”
Baber wants to have a look at Botitu before deciding on his final selection.
If not selected, Botitu will fly across to Christchurch to join the Flying Fijians.
