Let’s Go Local: ‘Best Fish And Chips At Bamboo, Nadi’

Noel Grey is a semi-retired project manager.
His biggest projects are home maintenance, which he does mainly in Suva and Nadi.
Mr Grey has lived in Fiji for 31 years and said this is home for him.
He is originally from Sydney, Australia.
What’s one place you’d take every visitor to in Fiji, and why?
Vuda Marina. It is spectacular and has the best views.
What’s your secret backyard favourite spot?
Usually at home in Naisoso, Nadi.
What’s your favourite place in Fiji for a pie/coffee?
I prefer coffee at home. But if you ask me about best place to eat out, Bamboo Travellers in Wailoaloa, Nadi, had the best fish and chips, when they were open.
It is very affordable, as a bonus.
We go there when my wife gets tired of cooking, and I get tired of cleaning dishes.
What’s one Fiji spot on the top of your bucket list?
Vanuabalavu, in Lau.
My wife, Dianne, still raves about it.
She’s been there before, years ago.
