City Vendors Get The Jab To Protect Family, Customers

Lautoka Market grog vendor, Rohit Ravinesh was keen on getting vaccinated to protect the lives of family members and customers he deals with daily.
Mr Ravinesh and his wife Shashi Kumari received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine yesterday.
Their yaqona business, which was established in 2015, has helped him get food on the table for his family.
He said receiving the vaccine was the right choice he made after seeing the number of COVID-19 cases rising each day.
His 19-year-old son studying to be a pharmacist, was also leading his family forward to get the vaccination.
“Now the cases are slowly creeping back into Lautoka and being vaccinated is the only solution to end this situation,” Mr Ravinesh said.
“My wife and I went to get vaccinated today (yesterday) because the virus is spreading. We are afraid.”
He said all vendors should step up and get their vaccinations to help Fiji stop transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
“Don’t be afraid to get your shot,” he added.
The couple will get their second jab this September.
