Flying Fijians halfback Simione Kuruvoli faces the biggest test of his rugby career when he takes on the world’s best No.9 and All Blacks star, Aaron Smith.

As of last night, the Tailevu Rugby player Kuruvoli, was the only specialised halfback in the squad after Australia-based Frank Lomani and Moses Sorovi were again delayed because of regulations surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kuruvoli made his test debut for the Flying Fijians against Georgia at last November’s Autumn Nations Cup in France.

Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor confirmed that a standby player from New Zealand, which he declined to reveal, had joined the squad, but the final call will be made by head coach Vern Cotter when he names his line-up tomorrow.
