COVID-19: 14 Arrests Recorded For Breach Of Curfew, Health Restrictions

Fourteen cases were recorded for breach of curfew and health restrictions last night, and from today officers will be issuing Public Health Infringement Notices whereby on the spot fines will be issued.
Of the 14 cases, 7 were recorded in the Southern Division.
Three men were arrested for failing to wear a mask in a public place along Milverton Road, Raiwaqa, Omkar Road, Narere and Qaranivalu Road Kalabu.
Two men and a woman were arrested at Nabuni Settlement, Stage 1 Cunningham for social gathering and a 30-year old man was arrested walking from the Rewa Dairy Bridge towards the 4 miles Police Road Block site.
In the Western Division, six cases were recorded and all were for social gathering.
Four men were arrested for social gathering in Malolo, Nadi as they were found drinking kava while 2 men were arrested in Nadi Town for drinking liquor.
The Eastern Division recorded 5 reports all for breach of curfew.
Four men were arrested at Burerua Village for breach of curfew and damaging property while a 31year old woman was found drunk and walking along Waituri Road.
From today officers will be issuing Public Health Infringement Notices for anyone who is found in breach of the health and curfew restrictions.
