COVID-19: LTA Begins Access Controls Amid Pandemic

A 46-year-old, Nadi woman has expressed her disappointment after she was not permitted to enter the Land Transport Office to renew her licence yesterday.

Speaking to Fiji Sun on the basis of anonymity, the woman said she was advised by a LTA staff that her licence would not be renewed because she was not vaccinated.

Other Fijians have expressed their disappointment on social media when they were not permitted into any of the LTA offices because they had not been vaccinated.

On Saturday, LTA announced on their Facebook page on the additional access controls for in-person visits to branch offices.

They stated that for the health protection of staff, customers and the community in general effective from yesterday, in-person access to all LTA Offices would be allowed in if they followed the additional access controls.

The additional access controls includes proof of vaccination by providing the vaccination card, for which an identity check will be performed by security staff
