Digicel Donates Fiberglass Boat To Police
Digicel Fiji chief executive officer, Farid Mohammed presented a boat and engine to the Acting Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu at the Royal Suva Yacht Club.

Digicel yesterday presented the Fiji Police Force with a fibreglass boat in their efforts to boost COVID-19 operations in monitoring borders.

Digicel Fiji chief executive officer, Farid Mohammed handed the boat to the Acting Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu at the Suva Yacht Club.

The boat named FPB Muaniweni CP will be based at the Muaniweni Community Post up Rewa River in the Naitasiri Province.

“This donation is timely and will assist the Fiji Police Force in improving waterway and coastal service delivery, conduct search and rescue operations, support community policing, and special operations such as investigations and drug trafficking,” said Mr Farid.

Acting Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu, said: “Thanks a lot Digicel for this kind donation which will greatly assist the Water Police division with their continued efforts in patrolling and keeping our communities safe and secure.”
