COVID-19: 137 Public Health Infringement Notices Issued In 48 Hours

One hundred and thirty-seven Public Health Infringement Notices were issued over the last 48-hour period.

One hundred and thirty PHINs were issued from Saturday to Sunday morning with the Southern Division recording 57 cases.

The Western Division recorded 46 reports, 12 PHINs were issued by the Police Special Response Unit, 8 in the Northern Division and 7 in the Eastern Division.

Failure to wear a face covering (mask) recorded 55 cases, breach of curfew 54, social gathering 14 and failure to comply with orders – consumption of kava and liquor in a public place 6.

From Sunday morning to Monday morning seven PHINs were issued in the Southern Division.

Four PHINs were issued for social gathering, 2 for breach of curfew and 1 for failure to wear a face covering
