Tuwai: Pressure On Us

Team Fiji men’s rugby sevens team last night beat Australia 19-0 in the main quarterfinals of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in Japan.
Poor handling skills saw the Fijians take a 7-0 lead through captain Jerry Tuwai.
He again scored in the second half and the other try was from Aminiasi Tuimaba
“Right now, we are the defending champions of the Olympics, so all the pressure is on us,” Tuwai told AP.
“We’re not that satisfied about the performance today, but we have another day tomorrow.”
Earlier on Fiji beat Great Britain 33-7 in the final pool match.
Baber changed his line-up against Great Britain opting to start with Josua Vakurinabili, Asaeli Tuivuaka and Meli Derenalagi in the forwards.
Tuwai led the backs with Napolioni Bolaca, Sireli Maqala and Jiuta Wainiqolo.
Fiji were aggressive in defence as they had the Great Britain forwards led by Harry Glover backpedalling most of the matches.
Great Britain conceded three tries in the first-half alone as Fiji romped home.
The first blow was struck when Tuivuaka barrelled over in the corner on three minutes.
And within 60 seconds a loose hand-off was pounced on as Maqala jinked over the line as winger Dan Norton slammed the turf in frustration.
Any GB hope was extinguished in the space of 45 seconds either side of the break.
First Norton’s ineffective tackle allowed Wainiqolo to rampage down the right.
And then another shoddy offload allowed Tuivuaka to fall over the line for his second try.
Meanwhile, favourites South Africa and the highly fancied USA are out of the gold medal contention.
