Fijiana In Medal Contention After Beating 2016 Olympic Champions

Fijiana will face New Zealand in the first Olympic semi-final after beating 2016 Rio Gold medalist Australia 14 – 12.
Despite the delay in the kick-off because of weather conditions, Fijiana dominated from the start with two consecutive tries.
This is the second time Fijiana has beaten Australia.
The first time was during the Oceania 7s in the build up to the Olympics.
Fiji 19 – Australia 12
Roll up, Roll up! The Fijiana team have just put in a most amazing effort – even with a sin binning – to BEAT. REIGNING. GOLD. MEDALISTS. Australia.
That’s a far bigger story than the men winning gold. #Rugby #rugby7s
