The shifting demand for more affordable housing is changing the landscape in the real estate sector, a realtor has said.

Perfect Property Management director, Ronesh Prasad’s comment was made at the Lautoka-based real estate agency’s first anniversary.

“There are around 300 properties from the Western Division listed, for sale or for rent, with our agency,” he said.

Mr Prasad opened his real estate agency last year, after the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic hit Fiji.

“I realised this industry would prosper if you know your market, and your clients’ needs,” he said.

Expansion Plans
In its first year of operations, Perfect Property Management listed five properties for sale and rent.

Expansion plans for the company include branching out to Nadi this year, and Suva at a later date, Mr Prasad said.

Aware of COVID-19 related constraints, the company offers certain services, free of cost.

Maintenance of client properties are carried out for free, if owners face travel restrictions, Mr Prasad.

“I also provide some free services regarding tenancy.”
