A new diabetes hub is now available at the Lautoka Hospital, thanks to The Reddy Foundation.

The humanitarian arm of Reddy Group, which owns Tanoa Group of Hotels, upgraded an old building at the hospital.

Lautoka/Yasawa Subdivision senior medical officer Dr Sapeta Taito is in charge of the hub.

She received the key from the Reddy Group Area general manager Narend Kumar yesterday.

Dr Taito said the Lautoka Subdivision and the greater Western Division was always proud to have the Tanoa Group supporting its cause.

“I’m thankful we were pointed towards your direction because not only did you go above and beyond what we requested but you continued to fulfil and produce at a time where the nation is in crisis,” she said.

She said the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and Tanoa Group had done a lot together.

Mr Kumar said teams from Tanoa International Hotel, Tanoa Skylodge Hotel, and Tanoa Waterfront Hotel including the Reddy Group head office staff members assisted in this worthy cause.

“It is our corporate social responsibility to do it right by providing timely assistance be it good or challenging times,” he said.

“We continue to assist by being responsible, sensitive, and aware of the communities and the environment in which we operate and do business.”
