Need More Equal Representation Of Women In Business: Mishra
Ranjeeta Mishra.

Women in the field of business can be challenging but it is something that Ranjeeta Mishra aims to overcome.

Being a mother and businesswoman, Ms Mishra sees herself worth more than just doing a 5-day job.

Ms Mishra owns an entertainment company in Fiji that specialises in the creation and management of premium themed parties, live concerts/DJ, Karaoke and a Shisha bar.

Business Field
She feels that women are still under-represented in business fields and believes in gender equality.

“Through my personal experience, women have better business relationship building skills.”

“Consequently we build stronger relationships with other organizations, partners and shareholders at large.”

“One of my reasons for doing business in Fiji is to help women here to find their inner strength and also to help them grow.”

“My role model is the Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Arden.”

“Everytime I see her achievements, I feel proud to be a woman and that’s what I want every other woman to feel.”

“Being an entrepreneur is not an easy task and it comes with a lot of risk and sacrifices,” Ms Mishra said.

Ms Mishra was a former banker dealing with a lot of entrepreneurs who shared their experience about doing business.

She said it has taught her to balance life and be ready to take on the challenge of starting her own business.

Equality
As a businesswoman women’s equality day is special for Ms Mishra because it celebrates women’s empowerment to remind everyone the strength and fortitude a woman symbolizes.

“I strongly believe that equality is necessary, it’s fair and I think it’s a great thing to be a part of.”

“Being feminist does not mean that we hate man, a feminist is a person who believes in the power of women just as much as they believe in the power of anyone else.”

“My message to all the women in the world is to believe in yourself. There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish. We women can be anything we want as long as we decide.”

She believes that women should be given equal opportunities across all areas of the workplace.

“As You cannot clap with one hand alone, it takes two hands to clap, Women and men need to work together. We are all equal.”

“There’s no one in front of you and there’s nobody behind you.”

“No one is above you, no one is below you,” said Ms Mishra.
