Mum, 46, Uses Plastic To Make Home Decorations
A 46-year-old mother, who created home decorations and jewelries using plastic for over a decade, believes positive thoughts will bring changes for the better.
Anaseini Laweibau, originally from Tailevu, returned to her husband’s village, Nacekoro in Savusavu last year during the coronavirus pandemic.
“My husband died three years ago, and I had to look after my three children,” Ms Laweibau said.
“Fortunately, my eldest daughter got a job in the Fijian Navy.”
The eldest of eight siblings is living with her 10-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter.
She says thinking positive helps a lot.
“Just let the Government do what they are doing and you as an individual do things with a good heart,” she said.
“I always start my day with prayer and God shows the way by sending people to buy products from home.”

Although spending a few years in Suva selling at the Roc Market, Fiji National Provident Fund Plaza, Westpac market and at the women’s expo returning home was the best decision she made.
She holds a Certificate in Information and Technology from Fiji National University and is pursuing a Diploma in Management at University of the South Pacific.
Recently she found employment with Digicel Fiji Limited, and her job was to sell SIM cards.
She is a member of Fiji Arts Council and Women in Entrepreneur Business Council.
