The 21-year-old resides in Nadi and currently coaches tennis for Viti Tennis Academy based at the Nadi Sports Club and the Denarau Golf and Racket Club.

“Not only do I coach tennis, I also play competitively.

“I’ve represented Fiji in the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas, the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu and the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa,” Ms Kumar said.

“When I am not on the tennis court, I am usually at home, spending time with my 3-year-old daughter.”

Ms Kumar was:
– the first player from the country to win the girl’s under-16 singles and

– doubles titles during the Margaret Court Cup and Victorian Grass Court Championships in Australia in 2016.

What Are Some Of Your Hobbies?
Listening to music, watching comedy and hanging out with friends.

What Is The One Place In Fiji You Would Take Every Visitor To, And Why?
I’ve been fortunate enough to travel around the whole of Viti Levu and I have to say Rakiraki is my favorite so far.

I would take every visitor there.

The experience is just amazing, the waters are crystal clear and they have some perfect fishing spots.

Unfortunately I haven’t been to Vanua Levu and I hope to make a trip in the near future.

What Is Your Favourite Secret Backyard Spot, And Why?
Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF) compound in Nadi – just sitting in my car, next to the runaway with good music.

McCafe Fiji

What Is Your Favourite Place For A Pie/Coffee, And Why?
My go-to coffee spot would definitely be McDonalds McCafe.

It is just super convenient, especially with the drive through, and their coffees are always consistent.

What Is The One Spot In Fiji On The Top Of Your Bucket List, And Why?
The Yasawas.

I’ve always wanted to island hop or do a cruise going through the whole of the Yasawa Group of Islands.

I know people who have done this and it’s just an amazing experience altogether.
