To commemorate its 65th anniversary, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) in Fiji has launched a special revival campaign.

LICI Regional Manager, Mahendra Bhadu said the campaign was customer focused.

“LICI has introduced this campaign which will offer maximum relaxations in the arrears.”

“This means the late payment fees will be waived off,” he said.

He said depending on the customer situation, the waiver off could be either 50 per cent or 100 per cent.

“We have noted from March last year, when COVID-19 first hit, that insurance premium payments had decreased.”

He noted 10 per cent of what was typically paid was being paid after the onset of COVID-19.

“Especially the Western division which was focused on tourism and aviation industry has been affected the most.”

“So this campaign will help these customers to remain covered by LICI.”

Fiji Rugby 7s Olympians Napolioni Bolaca and Laisana Likuceva, Olympic gold medallist and bronze medallist respectively were given a token of appreciation by Mr Bhadu.

“We wanted to invite somebody who had done something for the country.”

“And these rugby players have represented our country at the Olympics so it was fitting for them to be a part of this launch as well.”

New Lodgings
Mr Bhadu said the new LICI Lautoka branch located at 25 Narara Parade meant more visibility.

“We are now more visible to our customers.”

“There is more parking space here as well.”

He said there had been plans for a formal opening of this new office, which had been dampened because of COVID-19.”

“This branch space opened in August,” he said.

The LICI Lautoka branch was previously located at 5 Tui Street.
