Meeting Discusses Way Forward For Town And Country Plan

Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and the Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, Housing and Community Development Faiyaz Koya held a virtual meeting to discuss matters in relation to Town and Country Planning.

Stakeholders were given the opportunity to raise their concerns on operational issues and challenges faced and suggest solutions to facilitate smooth processes that can create opportunities for Fijians.

“We want to create an environment that is conducive for investment, conducive for ordinary citizens to feel confident and be able to understand and know the processes relating to construction and development,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Department of Town and Country Planning, Local Government, line agencies, the private sector and registered surveyors and consultants.
