Finally, the Fiji Police Force together with the Sai Prema Foundation, will aim to create greater awareness of the prevalence and symptoms of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) among all the children of the personnel through an electronic and non-electronic medium.

Sai Prema Foundation Director Mr Sumeet Tappoo said he wanted to inculcate a culture of gratitude in Fiji through this signing.

“Sai Prema Foundation is governed by the principles of ‘Love All ~ Serve All’ and at the very core of this philosophy is the importance of expressing and practicing gratitude.

Today, the signing of this Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), is a very simple act of expressing our gratitude to the Fiji Police Force who sacrifice themselves to serve and protect the citizens of our nation” said Mr. Sumeet Tappoo.

Mr. Tappoo also added that he was excited by the hearty reciprocation from both the Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho, and his Deputy Mr. Itendra Nair, to sign the partnership agreement.

“This partnership is a win-win for all concerned. Not only will we offer free medical consultations to the personnel and families but we also aim to advocate a healthier lifestyle and also ensure that we disseminate the necessary information about prevalence and symptoms of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) as well as offering a free treatment pathway to those children born the CHD through the soon-to-be-opened Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital in Suva” said Sumeet Tappoo.”

Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho expressed the Fiji Police’s gratitude towards the newly established partnership, adding it would boost efforts in addressing matters concerning the health and well-being of all serving members of the institution.
