$360 Helps Nadi Family Celebrate Father’s Day

A family in Nadi left a side a portion of their $360 Government assistance so they could celebrate Father’s Day with their granddad, Valami Vanitoba.
The 68-year-old farmer and his wife, Evamere Nautuni with his six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren celebrated the Day at their home in Korociri, Nawaka yesterday.
His grandchildren were all former hotel workers and after losing their jobs to the pandemic, they have been helping him at his farm.
“We all use that money to pay some of our amenities bills, rent, food, and other necessities,” said Mr Vanitoba.
“I am grateful that they all contributed to making a small feast to celebrate Father’s Day with me.”
Mr Vanitoba acknowledged the Government for their assistance which enabled him to celebrate Father’s Day with his family.
