Doctor Tukana Remembered As A Loving Father

The former Head of Wellness and National Adviser for Non-Communicable Disease at the Ministry of Health and Medical Services Dr Isimeli Tukana was described as a loving father who adored his daughters.
His daughter, Apikali Tukana said their family were devastated to lose a man who meant a lot to them.
“We are heartbroken, and it hurts to lose someone we adored so much,” Ms Tukana said.
“Our father was our biggest supporter who we admired.
“Our dad treasured us, his daughters and we are still trying to accept that he is no more.
“Every day was Father’s Day for us because that is how much we treasured him.”
Miss Tukana said her dad always reminded them to never forget God.
“Luvequ, mo nanuma na Kalou i Tamamu, is the advice from my father I would never forget,” she said.
She said, Dr Tukana was sick for two weeks before he collapsed at home and was taken to the hospital.
He was in a coma for three days before he passed away.
“We are still planning his burial.”
Dr Tukana is survived by his wife Veniana Tukana and his three daughters Apikali Tukana, Adi Bau Tukana and Ulamila Tukana.
