Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho has assured that Olympian, National 7s rugby rep and Police Officer, Waisea Nacuqu, will be facing disciplinary action for allegedly driving under the influence last Saturday.

He made the comments after the playmaker was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol in Ba on Saturday morning.

A source stated that Nacuqu was then stopped by officers on duty at a Police checkpoint.

Brigadier-General Qiliho said Nacuqu would be dealt with accordingly like any other citizen with regards to the alleged incident.

“That will be produced in court, the court will make that final decision but he will be charged,” he said.

“He will be dealt with internally through our disciplinary process for his conduct unbecoming of a Police Officer.”
