Vodafone Urges Customers To Activate & Update Their M-PAiSA Accounts Now!

As applications for the next round of Government’s COVID assistance program draws closer, Vodafone Fiji is urging its customers to activate & update their M-PAiSA accounts now if they
still have not done so.

Alternatively, they can also get a new Vodafone SIM for free and register for M-PAiSA if they are not a Vodafone user.

Vodafone Chief Marketing Officer Mr Rajnesh Prasad (‘Mr Prasad’) said that it was important for existing customers to ensure that all potential mobile account and registration issues are
resolved now before the next set of disbursements start.

“To ensure you do not run around at the last minute, it is only in your interest to ensure your M- PAiSA account is activated and you have familiarised yourselves with the service. Customers
also need to ensure that all customer registration details are correct and up to date, so that they do not face difficulties when receiving their payments,” highlighted Mr Prasad.

Some common issues faced by customers are PIN resets, inactive or dormant mobile accounts, inactive M-PAiSA accounts and change of ownership where customers are using mobile numbers registered under a family member and are thus having issues when accessing funds during withdrawal verification and ‘Know Your Customer’ requirements.

“We understand how important the government assistance is to Fijians that have been impacted by COVID-19.”

“Receiving these funds through M-PAiSA is very convenient and easy, and many Fijians have reaped the rewards of the assistance that has been rolled out over the past four months through the digital wallets” added Mr Prasad.

Fijians who are not already Vodafone customers, the process is very simple.

They can pick up a free Vodafone SIM at the nearest Vodafone outlet or roadshow location.

They will need to register their new mobile number, activate M-PAiSA and keep their mobile accounts active to access the services.”

“More Fijians continue to make the switch by getting a new Vodafone mobile connection for the convenience they gain.”

“Vodafone Fiji provides the widest reach with over 400 M-PAISA agents Fiji wide.”

Given the current restrictions brought on by the pandemic with minimal movements, most have discovered the effectiveness of digital payments via M-PAiSA App QR Pay, including Fijians living in rural and maritime areas.”

M-PAiSA App is available via the Google Playstore for Android Users and the iOS App Store for Apple Users.

Users can dial *181# and follow the instructions to activate account M-PAiSA, or call our Toll-Free line 124 to get help from Vodafone’s 24-hour call centre, or visit the nearest Vodafone outlet or roadshow location for a new SIM card.
