A man who allegedly tried to steal coconuts and crops from a home was chased through Kings Road near Nasole and was later apprehended at Secala Road.

The chase began just across the Nasinu Road junction. The man allegedly tried to steal coconuts after being told that he could not have any. The home owners gave chase to him and managed to apprehend him.

The Fiji Sun team was on sight. The apprehended man was not assaulted, however the people chasing him had him pinned down.

The man was told that this was the fifth time such an incident had taken place as cassava and coconuts planted by the homeowner had often been stolen.

It was established the alleged thief was from Reba Circle in Nadera.
