Vaccination teams will help out if you have lost your COVID-19 vaccination card and need a replacement.

Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete said replacement of cards could be entertained for valid reasons.

When asked how many times a person can go for card replacement, he said this was being discussed.

However, he called on the card holders to assist with the ongoing effort of the ministry’s vaccination drive in reaching out to the target population.

He said the replacement of cards could be done between the vaccination team of the facility confirming with their Ministry of Health and

Medical Services team in Suva in the digital registry.

“We are kindly requesting the vaccination card holders not to lose it and don’t give it to someone else to use,” Dr Waqainabete said.

“With Digital Fiji and the work of the Ministry of Education and teachers in verifying; the digital system is vital.”

He said the need to prove one was vaccinated for work, travel and other things was now increasing.
