Vehicle Carrier Offloaded 209 Vehicles

Vehicle carrier Dugong Ace which arrived last week on October 1, has offloaded 209 vehicles.
This is the second vehicle carrier that arrived in September at Port of Suva.
Fiji Ports Corporation Limited says at an average, around two to three car carriers arrive at Port every month.
Built in 2019, Dugong Ace is sailing under the flag of Panama, a country on a narrow strip of land linking Central and South America.
Through its Panama Canal, linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, essential shipping routes are able to be carried out.
With a carrying capacity of 15465 t DW, Dugong Ace is 199.95 meters long with a width of 32 meters.
The vessel is enroute to the port of Auckland, New Zealand, sailing at a speed of 18.6 knots and expected to arrive there on October 4.
The first car carrier to arrive last month at Port of Suva, Tokyo Car also arrived on September 14.
Sailing under the flag of Liberia, the vessel was built in 2008.
VesselFinder reported that TOKYO CAR is at North Sea and is en route to the port of Shanghai, China, sailing at a speed of 4.0 knots and expected to arrive there on October 7.
