Newly opened GF supermarket created 46 new employment opportunities.

The supermarket is located in Nadera, Nasinu.

The GF supermarket director, who is also the director for Go Fry franchise, Vishay Kant said he had opened the supermarket to create employment opportunities during these hard times.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and reduced hours, we had to lay off some of our employees from our Go Fry restaurant.”

“Some of the employees whom we laid off are now working for our GF supermarket and we also have a lot of new staff.”

Mr Kant said they had plans to officially open GF supermarket in May but they had to delay the opening because of COVID-19 pandemic.

The supermarket officially opened on October 10.

“In coming years we are planning to open more outlets of GF supermarket and Go Fry restaurants around the country.”

“We are expecting that more people will come and shop at GF supermarket and enjoy shopping with us.”

“We are following all the COVID-19 protocols in our supermarket as implemented by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services,” he said.

The GF supermarket is open seven days a week from 7 am until 9 pm.
