Tiko Kece Taxi Drivers Give Fire Victims Chance To Start Afresh

Tevita Poese and his family have been given a chance to start afresh after the home they were staying in at Jittu Estate in Gaji Road, Samabula, went up in flames a week ago.
Mr Poese and his wife Siteri Eleni were not home when the fire started. His daughter Diama Dinaono was at home, which was being rented in the informal settlement.
But now things have taken a turn for the better. Mr Poese, a retired soldier, was given work by Tiko Kece Taxis as a driver.
On Monday, the family, again with the help of Tiko Kece Taxis, were able to secure a piece of land in Tamavua.

The eight family members are now living with different relatives while the couple stays at the Tiko Kece Hall in Nabua.
“I am so grateful to the Tiko Kece Taxis. They have come to me in my time of need. I cannot thank them enough,” Mr Poese said.
“I am hoping to appeal to members of the public for some used tin and timber so we can build a temporary shelter in our new land and bring the family together.
“Otherwise, my family will continue to stay away from each other.”
Two homes were destroyed in the fire last week. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
