Dunn Wants To Do Navua Proud

National forward Thomas Dunn hopes to put into action what he learnt while being part of the national camp in Ba, the last two weeks.
Dunn, 18 is a member of the national squad that was in camp at the Fiji FA Academy as part of their preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying round in Qatar in March.
The Toguri, Navua teenager has been instrumental for the Navua side in the Digicel Premier League competition.
“I had learnt a lot from the national coaches and hope to be better when the DPL competition kicks off,” he said.
“During the pandemic I did my personal training. It was tough but had to be in shape as the competition resumes this weekend.
“With the DPL I hope to put in what I’ve learnt during the national camp.
“This match against Nadroga is important because we want to improve our standing.”
Dunn is also wary of Nadroga’s preparations despite the visitors’ no-win record so far.
“Nadroga under their new head coach Kamal Swamy will definitely come out firing.
“It will be an interesting match, and we hope to give them a good match.
“No one likes losing in front of their home crowd, so playing at Uprising is to our advantage.”
Dunn is no stranger in the sport as he has been dribbling, kicking and playing football since he was 10.
He came through the ranks starting at primary school and later featuring in the Fiji age group side.
“My aim is to make the selection for the national team, DPL is the best way to gauge myself,” he said.
