The Savusavu Town Council building is undergoing maintenance work in preparation for borders re-opening on December 1.

Council chief executive officer Seema Dutt said that the renovation works were carried out at the right time because soon tourists would be arriving to our hidden paradise for holiday and visitation purposes.

She added that the renovation would benefit the council changing the overall appearance of the building.

She encourages building owners to renovate their properties to uplift the town’s general overview.

Ms Dutt said the renovations cost the council approximately $4200 where $3000 was used for material and labour expenses.

The other $1200 was used to install a new aluminium door.
