The Ministry of Economy is still assessing 46,758 applications for the $360 government cash assistance to confirm their vaccination status.

In an update, government confirmed receiving 388,795 applications of which over 203,000 have been approved so far with a total pay-out of $73.1 million.

“Digitising our direct income support has lent exceptional efficiency to the assessment process meaning we can vet applicants and get assistance to those who qualify well ahead of Diwali and Christmas shopping. And we’ll be spacing out the distribution schedule so as to avoid massive crowding as much as possible in the days leading up to Diwali.”
